Life House was built with love on a spot where old student bungalows from the communist era once stood. After the political changes, the area became home to a former general who had commanded the First Bulgarian Army, drawn by the silence and beauty of Semkovo. In 2018, the house was purchased by Plamen — an adventurer who left behind city life to immerse himself in the magic of the mountain. But his dream was put to the test in 2022, when a fire caused by careless guests destroyed the home. With hard work, faith, and the help of friends, Plamen brought the place back from the ashes. Today Life House is not just a villa — it is a symbol of rebirth, freedom, and love for nature.
Life House – touch the mountain, feel the calm
At 1650 meters above sea level, in the highest part of the Semkovo resort, surrounded by the scent of pine resin and the silence of ancient forests, stands Life House — a place where time slows down and the mountain feels closest to you.
The area is peaceful and quiet — below the house there are a few villas, most of which remain uninhabited for most of the year. Nature here is alive, pure and untouched — birds are your neighbors, and at night the sky is filled with stars.
Access to the villa is available all year round. A paved road passes above it, which turns into a ski route during winter. On the snowiest days, cars stay at a parking area about 150 meters away, and the final steps to the house are a delight — silence, soft snow, and crisp mountain air.
The villa is fully equipped with everything needed for both short and long stays — comfort, warmth and the feeling of home.
The first floor welcomes guests with a spacious living room, a large French-style fireplace, two extendable sofas, a dining area, a bar with high stools, two coffee tables and a restroom. The entrance hall provides plenty of space for luggage and food storage.
The second floor houses two bedrooms — each with one double and one single bed, with the option to add an extra bed. A baby crib is also available for the youngest guests. Each room has its own bathroom and access to a large terrace overlooking the forest.
Outdoors, under the wooden shelter, you’ll find a barbecue, a wood-fired cooking stove, a table and a fresh-water tap — an ideal place for cool summer days or morning coffee in the forest.

Life House is warm in winter and cool in summer. Built entirely of wood, it carries the sensation of a living material that breathes and preserves the warmth of every memory. The design, style and craftsmanship are the result of the inspiration and work of Plamen Gonev and friends — people who believe that a mountain home should be felt, not merely inhabited.
